ILLU6040 - Exquisite Corpse OutcomesThis project was a group project involving all third years in the course. Each member was given 4 random numbers, corresponding with 4 random characters in a list, some fictional, some historical. The task was to create a full-body illustration of each character, split them into sections and combine them into a physical book at the end of the project.
As a group, the number of segments, and the size of each illustration were decided before any illustration was created. The illustrations were segmented into thirds (Head, Body, & Legs). Since the segments were to be mixed up within a flip-book; each segment of the characters had to communicate who they were independent of the others. The challenges within this project revolved around conveyance within character design. |
